The Director of Alumni Relations and Services, under the general direction of the Vice President of Student Affairs, is responsible for the creation and oversight of a comprehensive alumni relations program for all five current schools and all national and international campuses of Alliant International University and heritage institutions. The Director of Alumni Relations and Services will envision, develop, and lead strategic initiatives to support communications, technology and in-person & online events to engage the Alliant alumni community, and in turn support current students, the enrollment of new students and ongoing accreditation/regulatory needs. S/he will use technology, data analytics and engagement metrics to measure success.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Create a comprehensive strategy for continuing growth and development of the alumni relations program, including aligning year-by-year alumni relations priorities with the university strategic plan and key priorities.
Develop and maintains collaborative relationships and programs with University units, including Admissions, Student Services, and schools and academic programs.
Develop and implement a strategy to engage current students in preparation for an active role as alumni
Create meaningful opportunities for alumni to connect with each other, the university and current/prospective students online and in-person. This includes in-person events, webinars, online alumni community, a mentoring program, etc.
Identify and engage alumni who can enhance our services for current students (mentoring program, alumni speakers/panelists for colloquia, alumni who could offer field placement sites, reduced fee-psychotherapy, etc.).
Develop and implement career and professional development workshops for new alumni and current students by engaging career seasoned alumni to facilitate the activities.
Act as primary administrator for the Career Impact online resource to provide career and professional development resources and job postings for alumni and current students. Act as primary administrator and content manager for Career Services content on the Alliant Student Hub (Sharepoint).
Act as primary administrator and content manager for the Alliant AlumniFire online networking site.
Identify and engage alumni who can directly bolster new student enrollment through referrals and/or indirectly bolster new student enrollment by supporting value-added services for prospective students (e.g., speakers for open houses, alumni testimonials to support marketing)
Plan and staff alumni events, both locally and regionally. Travel to events as needed. Coordinate all services related to event management including scheduling; catering; custodial, maintenance and grounds requests; media services; and public safety.
Identify, develop, lead and execute special initiatives: These may include class reunions, the development of alumni chapters, compliance-related initiatives, anniversary year celebrations, etc.
Convene and manage an alumni advisory board and serve as the primary contact for alumni advisory board.
Work with the Communications and Marketing to produce publications and communications, including contributions to the annual Impact Report, regular updates to the alumni section of the website, and the alumni e-newsletter
Continuously improve the quality of alumni data and technology. Ensure alumni data is functionally integrated into University SIS system with the appropriate access permissions and clear protocols. Oversee the maintenance of alumni website pages, class notes, and mass email conception. Update and maintain alumni records; Field daily alumni inquires and requests.
Work with the CEO of the Alliant Educational Foundation to develop strategic University/Foundation partnerships on events, alumni donor relations strategies, and other initiatives to support the Foundation and in turn enhance scholarship opportunities for current and prospective Alliant students.
Work with Institutional Research and Compliance departments to develop content for Institutional surveys designed to gather alumni outcome data including employment and licensure needed for regulatory reporting; Develop, implement, and monitor strategies to increase response rate to alumni surveys; Contribute to the development of self-study materials for program review, WSCUC, APA, CCTC, ACBSP, COAMFTE, and other accreditation needs
Perform other related tasks, duties and responsibilities as required, assigned or directed.

Skills:
Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office applications; In addition it's preferred to have experience with SalesForce (or similar CRM system), Campus Nexus Student (or similar SIS), and with AlumniFire.
Hands-on experience with current technology, digital communications and networking trends, including social media, email marketing, and virtual networking/engagement platforms
Project management experience: Strong organizational skills, ability to manage several projects simultaneously and ability to meet deadlines; problem solving and critical thinking skills
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required. Ability to inspire and motivate students, alumni, and external constituents.
Confident, positive, professional demeanor working with internal and external facing constituents
Sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential information
Experience developing, planning and managing professional development and networking events

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
Experience: 3-5 years of demonstrated knowledge of alumni relations, student affairs, constituent engagement, membership, customer service; public relations and/or community building or related.
Certifications, Licenses, etc.: Valid driver's license and automobile insurance
