Position Description:
UCLA Student Affairs is a network of more than 25 programs, services, and experiences that connect with the life of every student during his, her, or their collegiate career and strives to ensure students have the programs and resources to meet their personal and academic needs. As the Director of Development, Student Affairs, you will work across a variety of disciplines and on varied and complex gifts including those that benefit underserved student populations, student leadership programs, club and recreational sports, and much more. Under the direction of the Executive Director of Development for Scholarships and Student Support Initiatives, as the Director of Development, Student Affairs, you will plan and implement a strong, proactive major gift program that reflects the fundraising priorities of the Office of Student Affairs. You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding individual major gift prospects. As the Director, you will meet with leadership to gain knowledge of interests and programmatic areas of expertise, determine market feasibility for fundraising priorities and provide development advice and counsel, in collaboration with other members of the campus development team. You will use available data to develop constituencies and identify prospects in relations to fundraising priorities; organize and conduct meetings of volunteers and donors designed to identify new prospective donors for private support; and create additional vehicles and methods for identifying new prospects. As the Director, you will you will also establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with appropriate individuals and offices throughout External Affairs, within the Office of Student Affairs and campus-wide. You will work with the Executive Director on programmatic management and planning and will review and revise program goals and objectives at appropriate intervals. In addition, as Director, you will manage fundraising staff as appropriate to drive fundraising initiatives and projects.

Special Instructions:
The budgeted hiring salary/target range for this position is the posted minimum to $10,833.33 monthly, with salary placement based on skills, knowledge, and experience.
