POSITION SUMMARY
As the Alumni Engagement and Outreach Coordinator, you will work closely with the Executive Director of Strategic Communications and Alumni Engagement to establish and grow the Alumni Relations team and department.
Your primary responsibility will be to act as the external face of CCA in the community. You will organize and execute alumni events, programs, and initiatives that promote and strengthen the relationship between the institution's alumni base, the Community College of Aurora, and the greater Aurora community.
In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, representing the Alumni engagement team through various forms of communication.
You will also oversee event logistics and ensure the accuracy and the completeness of alumni data records, while managing multiple projects simultaneously with ease. You will also play a significant role assisting with CCA's annual commencement ceremony and as we celebrate our 40th anniversary as an institution.
Reporting to the Executive Director of Strategic Communications and Alumni Engagement, you will collaborate with a dynamic and solution-oriented team to advance the mission and vision of the Community College of Aurora. The incumbent should have an entrepreneurial spirit and have some experience scaling departments.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Demonstrated experience with alumni or other membership-based organization in membership development and recruitment.
- Extensive experience using social media to build brand recognition or awareness; ability to write media materials, promotional materials and create digital content.
- Manage the process and flow of alumni relations team data: input, integrity, and reporting in database tools
- Continuously seeks to build new relationships with CCA alumni, spanning the college's history
- Acts as a representative for the brand at mixers, galas, and community events
- Builds brand awareness and develops relationships with relevant stakeholders
- Travels throughout the Aurora area, representing CCA and building relationships with its donors, prospects, and Alumni
- Review, enter, report, research, update, and maintain alumni data to ensure accuracy
- Coordinates with the larger Division of Strategic Communication and Alumni Engagement on logistics and execution of alumni relations programs and in-person, virtual, and hybrid events
- Create and manage event registration pages/RSVPs; prepare event materials such as name tags, registration lists, and other collateral
- Adheres to professional personal presentation following CCA dress code guidelines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- BA or BS degree in Communications or Marketing, or a Bachelor's Degree in any field with community networking experience.
- A passion for higher education and the opportunities it provides
- An ability to read and contextualize data and communicate it in a way that moves others to action
- Ability to work independently and make sound, critical decisions under pressure
- A team player with excellent communication skills

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Salary Range: Anticipated starting salary range: $65,205.00. This salary is determined by the qualifications of the selected candidate balanced with departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information. CCA offers an excellent benefit plan, including generous leave, holiday, and education benefits. Full time employees immediately upon hire earn 15 hours a month annual leave and 10 hours a month sick leave.
