- Monitor, track and provide assistance with grant related payment transactions;
- Confer with administrative departments to assist with grant related transactions;
- Confer with grant coordinators to support grant management activities;
- Interpret and review relevant state and federal regulations, guidelines and procedures governing payment transactions;
- Monitor and prepare grant fiscal reports and payment requests to funding agencies;
- Monitor, assist and report with grant account opening and closing activities;
- Review and update various grant databases;
- Monitor budget spending and collaborate with grants management staff and coordinators to prepare estimates and spending plans to maximize impact and use of awarded funds
- Monitor and report on grant budget activities internally and to funding agencies;
- Maintain electronic and hard copy grant files;
- Assist with preparation for audit and program monitoring visits;
- Perform day-to-day grant management operational issues and activities;
- Analyze and recommend improvements to current operational procedures.
Job Requirements:
- Four years full-time or equivalent part-time accounting or financial administrative experience using computerized systems; of which at least two years must have been in a supervisory, administrative or managerial capacity.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and complete work independently.
- Strong attention to detail in working with numbers and written information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, and financial systems/databases.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication, and listening skills.
- Creative approach to optimize and improve business processes.
- A commitment to diversity and equity in education and in the workplace is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in accounting, business administration or business management.
- Experience with any of the following preferred: Ellucian tools (Self-service, Colleague, WebAdvisor), MMARS (LCM), Interview Exchange, MS Access, PeopleSoft, EdGrants.
Additional Information:
Salary: $2,215.91 bi-weekly
