Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; occasional early morning, evening and weekend hours; this is a temporary position to end on or before June 30, 2020 with the possibility of renewal on an annual basis if program needs exist.

About the Position:
University Advancement serves Cal State Fullerton by building and strengthening relationships with the communities we serve to encourage advocacy, investment and support of the University, its mission, goals and programs in support of student and alumni success. The Alumni Engagement department strives to foster a lifelong community of alumni connected to each other and to the institution with the goal of generating private financial support and engagement with the University. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as an Administrative Support Coordinator I, Alumni Engagement. The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude and an active, energetic mind that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

This position coordinates a variety of administrative duties pertaining to the day-to-day operations of the office of Alumni Engagement and provides direct administrative support to the Executive Director and team. Serves as first point of contact and lead in greeting visitors and announcing their arrival to staff person they are visiting, extend basic hospitality such as beverage; sitting area or assistance with parking and escort to staff persons office as needed. The Administrative Coordinator would be responsible for coordinating various functions including event/program logistics such as house rentals and board meetings. The Administrative Coordinator will oversee students assigned to their projects. Process the reconciliations for team members and serve as the liaison to the University Advancement-Admin and Finance department. As the department IT coordinator, this person maintains the alumni email accounts, password changes and other electronic systems for Alumni Engagement. Will relay all university and division policy and procedures and their impact to the administrative functions of the unit. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications
High School diploma or the equivalent and four years of progressively responsible experience in general office, clerical or secretarial work or the equivalent. Thorough, detailed knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Thorough knowledge of office systems with the ability to use a range of technology, systems and software packages. Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects. Ability to apply a variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist. Working knowledge of budget policies and procedures. Ability to perform standard business math including calculating ratios and percentages, tracking financial data, and making simple projections. Ability to draft and compose correspondence and standard reports. Ability to handle effectively a broad range of interpersonal contacts including those at a higher level and those sensitive in nature.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.

Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four year college or university. Experience working with boards and volunteers. Experience in data entry

License/ Certification
Valid California Driver's License
