Job Summary
The Alumni Engagement Coordinator will focus on creating impactful and engaging opportunities to serve the needs of our diverse alumni. Plan, coordinate, and implement programs that cultivate and steward alumni in an effort to strengthen their ties to the University, garner their support while building lifelong relationships that support the future of CSULB.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, and coordinate various alumni programs & mentoring
  • Alumni operations support, evaluation, analysis, and reporting
  • Coordinate with University Events for events/programs
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of methods and procedures for providing or performing a variety of functions and services in support of alumni programs. Requires strong interpersonal skills and an ability to interface professionally with donors, administrators, faculty, alumni, and students. Demonstrated customer-service orientation. Ability to use judgment and discretion in all areas of responsibility. Ability to work independently and plan day to day activities. Ability to make constructive program recommendations. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to work collaboratively and maintain and upbeat, positive attitude. Skill in investigating, analyzing and problem solving. Ability to recruit, train, and supervise volunteers. Knowledge and experience with fundraising at an institution of higher education.

Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."
Education and Experience
Equivalent to five years of administrative support experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Licenses / Certificates
CA Driver's License preferred.

Compensation
The salary range for this classification is $3,440 to $5,639 per month.

Time Base
Full-time temporary position for two (2) years with no permanent status granted. Temporary assignments may expire prior to the ending date.
