Title: Apprenticeship Coordinator (Grant Funded)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Apprenticeship Coordinator will be responsible for creating individualized apprenticeships and pre-apprenticeships that will prepare students for work in high-need fields. The Apprenticeship Coordinator will be responsible for building relationships with a diverse range of employers within the greater Nashville area and College's service area with the intent to create apprenticeships and pre-apprenticeships
opportunities for students.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify and develop training programs to meet the needs of local business and industry partners through registered apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs. Work directly with business and industry to develop the key elements of registered apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs and assist in the various stages of development including allocating resources to best accomplish the goals of programs. Collaborate on the development and evaluation of Work-Based Learning (WBL), apprenticeships, internships, job shadow and on-the-job training opportunities.

Collaborate with college departments, high school representatives, economic development agencies and program deans and directors to identify career pathways for creating a sustainable pipeline through apprenticeship. Work directly with program deans, directors, success coaches, etc., to identify a proper training and career pathway for each student. Support outreach initiatives to create awareness and recruit students into apprenticeship and pre-apprenticeship programs. Engage collaboratively with Apprenticeship TN, and, in particular, the College's designated state coordinator, on all aspects related to registered pre-apprenticeships and apprenticeships. Work directly with all departments of the college to include the workforce division, Career Services, Welcome Center and other applicable departments.

Build relationships with other community development/partner organizations to identify sources of funding for programming and provide support for grant/funding proposals. Ensure compliance with the standards of the Tennessee Board of Regents System for Registered Apprenticeship and Pre-Apprenticeship. Participate actively on appropriate committees and task forces and in professional associations and organizations at the campus, regional and state levels. Represent the college with local workforce development partners, business organizations and economic development groups. Collaborate with the Executive Director to establish a process for communicating project updates in a timely and sufficient manner.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources Development, Business or related field from an accredited college or university

Three years of industry experience and/or experience working in workforce development

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working in higher educations or community colleges

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication and public relations skills. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Ability to be organized, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Ability to think creatively and put ideas into action. Ability to be nimble and responsive to industry needs. Ability to make presentations to large audiences. Ability to positively engage with students of all levels. Excellent computer skills, with particular emphasis on Microsoft Office products. Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Rate of Pay: $42,601 to $ 53,251 annually, depending on experience
