Job Description:
What We Are Looking For

The Assistant Director of Annual Giving works collaboratively with the Director of Annual Giving and the Assistant Vice President of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving in creating, managing, implementing a successful annual giving program focused on Baylor Traditions. The goal of the program is to increase participation and cultivates a pipeline of future mid- and major-level donors.

A Bachelor's Degree, three years of relevant experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A Master's Degree and five years of relevant experience are preferred.

What You Will Do

The primary role of this position is to manage a portfolio of direct marketing projects within the annual giving program including, but not limited to, traditional direct marketing, digital and web-based marketing, and special campaigns. These duties extend to fundraising activities for special audiences, such as future alumni, faculty and staff, parents and friends of the university.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

Assist with the development of an integrated marketing communications plan that is aligned with the objectives of Baylor University and achieves the annual giving dollar and donor goals. Includes a focus on future alumni, faculty and staff giving, and Baylor Traditions.
Assist with the development, implementation and review of reporting that evaluates programs and projects with data-driven solicitation approaches in mind. This includes data-mining appeals to assess marketing segmentation to improve results and monitor metrics of giving participation, average gift, donor retention, acquisition, and upgrades.
Serve as the lead project manager on various communication efforts through all channels including but not limited mail, email, digital advertising, calling, crowdfunding and giving day.
Assist with development and editing of marketing messages associated with solicitations and collaborates with all areas of Advancement to provide seamless communication with prospects/donors from cultivation to solicitation to stewardship.
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission.
Ability to comply with University policies.
Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
