What We Are Looking For

The Assistant Director of Leadership Annual Giving (2) is a frontline development officer leveraging digital technology to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors. As a part of the Leadership Annual Giving team, the Assistant Director of Leadership Annual Giving is responsible for expanding coverage of the current alumni base in clearly defined, strategic regional markets and segments to grow the mid-level and major giving pipeline.

A Bachelor's Degree, one year of relevant experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A Master's Degree and two years of relevant experience are preferred.

Note: This position is a two-year assignment with the possibility of extension.

What You Will Do

The Assistant Director of Leadership Annual Giving (2) is a front-line development officer leveraging digital technology to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors. This position will focus primarily on three areas:
  • Soliciting prospects through personalized solicitations and stewardship with a focus on acquiring and retaining mid-level donors
  • Developing relationships with mid-level and high-capacity prospects by delivering high-volume, personalized outreach
  • Qualifying affinity and capacity by engaging with and providing prospects with value-added content and event invitation

The Assistant Director of Leadership Annual Giving (2) is expected to meet and exceed clearly defined activity, donor and revenue retention, and reactivation goals. This position will manage a portfolio of approximately 1,000 donors and have clearly defined goals around the following metrics:
  • Substantive Contacts
  • Solicitations (Leadership Annual Giving Level+)
  • Major Gift Prospects Identified

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Manages a portfolio of prospects through an active schedule of solicitation, cultivation, and stewardship calls to donors and new prospects at the leadership annual giving level and above.
  • Implements and executes strategies for building relationships with current and prospective donors alumni and volunteers by leveraging digital technologies such as email, virtual meetings, and video.
  • Builds relationships across the University campus to be in a position to connect donors with key leaders and campus partners when applicable.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission.
  • Ability to comply with University policies.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
