Position Description
Performs supervisory and coordinative work in the operation of a specific program or departmental project. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Develops and prepares donor stewardship reports/packets and coordinates scholarship stewardship process across the college. This includes but is not limited to writing donor impact stories, analyzing program and financial information and incorporating photographs. Produces assigned stewardship reports in a timely manner.
  • Assists with donor recognition programs and giving societies that includes but is not limited to: production of donor recognition pieces, donor recognition event planning and implementation, scheduling meetings and strategic communications.
  • Serves as liaison for the Young Guns (YG) young alumni group. Facilitates communication between YG and college development staff.
  • Assists in organizing and coordinating donor and alumni events in conjunction with development and college staff, including contacting vendors for logistical support and needs; preparing event tracking reports and timelines; and managing volunteers; may include purchasing/processing for events.
  • Designs, develops, and produces proposal templates, brochures, special promotional materials, invitations, web page content etc.
  • Serves as liaison with TTUS annual giving and coordinates annual giving initiatives for the college, including crowdfunding initiatives.
  • Communicates (verbal and written) with alumni/donors, faculty and staff to convey pertinent information in a timely and concise manner.
  • Maintains/updates donor/alumni information as necessary, including pulling mailing lists, generating reports, etc. while keeping such information confidential per organizational policies and procedures
  • Assists in securing appointments and scheduling meetings with donors, prospective donors, college and/or university staff as needed.
  • Assists with gift agreement preparation as needed.
  • Prepares and makes travel arrangements as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications
High school graduation plus five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for required experience on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications
  • College degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work in a collaborative team environment, and the ability to meet deadlines and follow strict guidelines and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work closely with internal and external multi-level personnel.
  • Ability to make sounds decisions and work effectively with others, experience in problem solving, high ethical standards and ability to remain confidential, dependable, ability to work well under pressure with little direction while maintaining professional composure.
  • Computer knowledge in Microsoft Office products, Texas Tech Advance Computer software, TechBuy, Cognos and other TTU software.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe software, InDesign, or other graphic software a plus.
