The UCLA Health Sciences Development team is building on its recent history of raising $2 billion at the conclusion of UCLA's historic $5.49 billion Centennial Campaign. You can make a positive, important impact with your expertise by joining our UCLA Health Sciences Development team as the Director of Hospital Initiatives and Boards. In this role, you will work closely with our highest level of volunteers, donors and other individuals that guide decisions as part of our hospital boards. You will be responsible for a unique type of portfolio management that focuses on the connections and engagement with board members and hospital leadership facilitating collaborations for major gifts. You will be part of a dynamic and innovative team that offers long-term opportunities for professional development and growth as part of a robust External Affairs enterprise serving UCLA.

Your work is crucial to providing the financial support for UCLA's high quality patient care and pioneering research. As a key member of the team, you will strategically cultivate and steward Board members who support UCLA Health's preeminent academic medical center, where patients benefit from the latest clinical trials, leading-edge diagnostics, and the most advanced treatment protocols.
Serving as the primary leadership liaison, you will be responsible for strategic Board development of existing hospital boards, and standardization of efforts across Health System Boards, Hospital Boards and the vetting of new possible support for boards or committees vis a vis existing boards.

As a strong candidate for this role, you will have a minimum of three to five years of progressively responsible development experience with an emphasis on volunteer and board management and major gift fundraising and/or prior professional experience in a related field such as sales, marketing or business development working with high level boards and volunteers. You are an entrepreneurial self-starter, highly collaboratively with excellent written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills.
