Director of Development, Humanities - UCLA College
University of California Los Angeles

Requisition Number: 38297
Salary: $7,492 - $18,058 monthly

Position Description:
If you are looking for an opportunity to use your fundraising skills for the greater good in an environment that strives for excellence and diversity, join our UCLA College Development team as our Director of Development, Humanities. As one of four academic divisions within the UCLA College, the Division of Humanities encompasses a wide variety of departments and centers committed to excellence in engaged, innovative and inclusive research and teaching. With more than 200 faculty members working alongside scores of specialized lecturers, talented graduate students, and dedicated staff, the division carries on the age-old human project of interpreting the world's legacy of language, literature, and art and introducing it to new generations of young people. As the Director of Development, you will be an essential part of raising funds for our continued success and will receive the resources to grow and excel in your career.

Working closely with the Executive Director of Development for Humanities and Undergraduate Education, you will plan and implement a strong, proactive major gift program that reflects the academic priorities of the Humanities and will develop and maintain a portfolio of major individual gift prospects. As the Director, you will work closely with the division's faculty, leadership and your colleagues on the division's development team to gain knowledge of research interests and areas of expertise, determine market feasibility for academic priorities and provide advice and counsel on fundraising strategies and initiatives. You will utilize available data to develop constituencies and identify prospects in relation to academic priorities; organize and conduct meetings of volunteers and donors to identify new prospective donors for private support; and create additional vehicles and methods for identifying new prospects. In addition, as the Director, you will establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with appropriate individuals and offices in UCLA College and throughout External Affairs. We invite you to be part of our dynamic, collaborative and experienced team that offers long-term opportunities for professional development as part of a robust External Affairs enterprise serving UCLA.

**Please note, this is a hybrid position.**
