Position Description:
Under the supervision of the Manager, the incumbent will serve as the Senior Contract and Grants Fund Manager for The Ralph J. Bunche Center for African American Studies, an Organized Research Unit (ORU) with the mission to develop and strengthen African American Studies at UCLA.

The Senior Contracts and Grants Fund Manager will provide comprehensive analysis of the Center's contract and grant functions, and independently oversee and manage all pre-award and post award activities related to contracts and grants. Primary responsibilities include assisting administrators and faculty with submitting applications and proposals for grant funding to government and non-profit entities, this includes the preparation and submission of proposals, and reviewing proposals for compliance with federal regulations and university policy. The Senior Contracts and Grants Fund Manager will act as the main liaison between PI's and funding agencies, and between PI's and the UCLA Office of Contracts and Grant Administration (OCGA), and will manage all aspects of the grant budget upon notification of the award, and all the way through completion.

Other responsibilities include the development of regularly scheduled financial reports, monthly reconciliation of grant expenses to ledgers, notifying PI's of deadlines for agency progress reports, and providing overall guidance and expertise to the Bunche Center administrators and affiliated faculty.

Depending on the department's needs, this position will possibly have the opportunity to have a hybrid schedule that includes a combination of remote work and work on UCLA campus.
